The Devil Wears Prada 2 opened as the No. 1 film in North America over the May 1-3 weekend, debuting with $77 million domestically and $233 million worldwide. The sequel, starring Meryl Streep two decades after the original, drew an audience that was nearly 75% women and earned an A- CinemaScore. The domestic opening was almost triple the $27.5 million the original generated in its 2006 debut weekend. Internationally, it set the second-highest MPA opening of 2026 and the highest-grossing opening weekend ever for a Meryl Streep film across all markets. The Disney-distributed film also represented the largest global opening for a live-action Hollywood production in 2026.
